The first favor you can do to your dry and damaged hair is switching to moisturizing shampoos and conditioner. Besides cleansing your hair, these moisturizing shampoo and conditioner will leave your hair well-nourished and well-moisturized every time you will give it a shampoo bath. Be sure not to wash your hair frequently as over washing will zap all natural hair oils from your hair and thus make it even drier.
Add an intensive conditioning treatment or hair mask to your hair washing regimen. Go through this hair treatment every week to revitalize and repair your damaged strands.
If you have excessively dry hair then hair oil may help you. Coconut and olive oils are good for long hair, while for the fine hairs the lighter oils such as jojoba or almond oils are more are more appropriate.
Cut down the use of heat-styling tools such as blow-dryer, hot rollers and heated hair straightners, for styling your hair. Rather make use of serums to style your hair. During styling, these serums will moisturize and coat your hair.
Also, remember apply a heat protection product before exposing your hair to heated styling tools and try staying stick to just one type of heated tool; this way you will limit hair damage.
